Its April; that means School Elections season

Well I am running for Class Treasurer or Vice Prez.

The Election should be pretty competitive so I would sincerely appreciate some ideas for a campaign slogan and or other general campaign ideas

My first name is Michael (for all intensive rhyming purposes) by the way.

I searched over CC for a general thread like this and couldn't find one. Maybe this can be a help thread for anyone with the same general issues as myself?

well for your speech, make it funny. not like a complete joke, but make it funny enough so that people remember your speech. obviously, its mostly a popularity contest, but u can still win over the votes of those who don't know either candidate.

try something that rhymes with ur last name, michael is hard.

You could also look at your opponents' slogans and make fun of them. For instance, at my school there was a candidate whose last name was Barr. The posters said:

"Not candy bar, _____ Barr."

The person running again that candidate then put up posters saying:

I remember at the end of freshman year some kid made a rap as his speech... no one really knew who he was but he ended up winning. now everyone knows him and he makes a rap for every speech and has won every year.

a girl who nobody knew also won by rapping...

...but, other than that, I'll tell you what wins. Really good "give-a-ways" with your name on it...like, one girl gave out glowsticks and CDS as part of her "DJ (first name)" theme. Another one this year handed out snapbracelets, and other 80's stuff as part of "Totally 80's theme".

Student Gov is a joke at my school. But it's a small catholic school of about 650. If you lose, they put you on the "executive board" lol. It's a sweet deal. It looks good for college, even though in reality you really don't do much at all. lol.
