<p>HEy i'm new here, but i just have a quick question. I used the common app to apply to Duke, Emory, Tulane, and Furman. for the essay i used an essay i wrote for school. My assignment was basically write your college app essay, so i did. The problem is that when i uploaded it to my common app, i forgot to take the header off, so it's obvious that i used a school essay. Its too late to change it, i turned those in about a month ago but just noticed now. my question is will it matter? if my grades, test scores, and essay are all great, will that mistake make a difference at those schools? thanks</p>

<p>no it shouldn’t matter. i think college admission officers are more interested in your grades and SAT’s/ACT scores.

*one of my friends did the same thing you did and got accepted into some pretty decent school.</p>
