hi there. my SAT score was apparently an 1860. what schools can i get into with a score like this? i need aid and am international.

Since you need aid, and you’re an int’l, there aren’t many schools that would work for you. The schools that give lots of aid to int’ls are the hardest to get into, and therefore typically require very high stats.

Look at it this way…in the world, there are literally millions of kids who’d like to come to school here and need aid. Obviously, there aren’t enough seats for all these kids. So, getting accepted is highly competitive.

how much can your family contribute?

well probably around 10k

i’m not sure about that figure though. i am willing to apply to LACs however and not necessarily universities

you are international like you are a jet setter, you were born in another country but are now an american or, you are currently living in a foreign country and are not an american citizen?

living in my home country, and not an american citizen

“Best bang for the buck” for international students in my opinion:

does your school have a relationship with any american colleges ? have you traveled to the united states before? what country are you in/from?

@zobroward, well i am from the philippines

just bumpin this

I do not know about international aid but you might want to look at schools like Philadelphia University and Wilkes University, or perhaps Bradley University.
most schools have an international out reach contact. if you go to a schools website and reach out to them via e mail and ask about aid for out of the country non citizens students you will get the most straight forward answer!
