School Forms help!

Hi,

So I decided to apply to 5 Common App schools that require different forms. I get that part, but I'm confused about a couple of things.

If some of my teachers are unable or don't want to fill it out online, do I still have to do the "Invite" thing, or do I just print out the forms and give it to the teachers? When the teachers/counselor send those forms by paper, does the Common App website indicate (green triangle) that school forms were submitted, even though I did not do it online (Invite school officials) at all?

Also, can teachers/counselors write one letter and use it for whole bunch of different schools (not only Common App but also other apps like Embark), or do they have to be unique to school?

Thanks!

You will have to print out the forms and hand them to your teacher to fill out. You have to invite the teachers on the common app, but as you invite them, don’t provide the teachers’ emails on the part where you enter “teachers’ information”, so that on the common app it will say in red “these teachers are offline providers” or something to that extent.

The triangle will turn green because the common app that you will be submitting is a different document from “school forms”.

Yes, teachers, especially counselor, usually only write one recommendation letter, which they then forward to all the school to which you’re applying.
