is this bad? deadline is today, school forms aren't submitted online yet. what do i do????

Where are you getting this? The common app or from the school? If your teachers mailed it then the Common App won't show you when its accepted. The school will, but keep it mind that it takes a while for them to process all the paperwork.

If your teachers/counselors have not finished their stuff, kindly remind them that the deadline is today.

I can't say for sure, but unless your school forms comes a month late or something, it's not gonna matter if it's one or two days late because the school will probably still be processing mail and it shouldn't effect you since it technically wasn't your fault.

The rest of the items often trickle in. Just worry about submitting your applications by the proper deadlines.

So its ok if the teacher recommendations (on-line, not by paper) come in a couple of days late?

^ Can someone answer this? Dean J?

As I wrote, the rest of the items often trickle in. Obviously, it's ideal if all credentials are there at the deadline, but I hate to think that you all are stressing out over a rec letter being a few days late. This isn't going to derail your application.

Back when we had a paper-driven process and everything was date stamped as the mail was opened, I didn't care about the date stamped on anything. We care about the content of the recommendation and aren't going to penalize a student if it gets there late.

Just keep in mind that a really late item, one that arrives a few weeks past deadline, might not make it to your file before it's read.
