School Forms turned in late

I turned in all my applications in within the deadline, but my counselor forms + transcript havent been sent to the schools yet, will the colleges consider that a late application?

I hope not! My Canadian GC doesn't understand how American schools work, so she wouldn't send them until we could have a "talk"... now winter break has hit and I won't be able to send them until the 8th!

i think it's ok, i'm from canada too, i gave the forms to my counsellor last day of school and they finished it in no time ^_^ guess it just depends on the school well good luck with urs

It's fine.
Don't even worry.

wuh same situation!! i just posted a thread.. whew im glad im not the only one

First of all, they extend professional courtesy to all recs.
Secondly, it takes them a while to open mail, so they won't notice if your recs are in a couple of weeks late.
Thirdly, even if something is **completely **missing from your app, they usually notify you and give you another chance to turn it in.

:]

thanks ohh miss zanna, I was wondering about this too.

how long do they give you?? like if a rec is a week or two late will they care?

I would call to make sure. My transcript wasn't send to a school in time last year because they were moving offices and so the school didn't consider my application at all.

You should at least call to inform them and hope for the best.

which school was that?

I would like to know to, I know Olin College doesnt accept anything after the 1st, but I was guessing most colleges would.

Woah woah, usertheone... Where in the world did you get that Olin doesn't accept anything after the 1st? Direct quote from an email from Allison:

A friend of mine is applying there, they said that they wont accept anything after the deadline.

The school was the University of Texas at Austin.
