School Forms

Question: Do you have to invite the teacher who's doing your recommendation for you through the online common application email invitation before they can write your recommendation and evaluation, or can you just print out the evaluation forms and give them physically to the teacher without having to bother with the commonapp email?

nope! you HAVE to invite them online first.
then the teachers get an email saying that they have a choice of either choosing online or hardcopy.
if you want online, ask ur teacher to do it online.
if u want hardcopy, ask ur teacher to do it hardcopy :)

then links will be provided for your teacher in the email.
so first, INVITE ur teachers!!

Wait, you have to invite them?

I just gave my teachers the forms and envelopes and they were fine with it, is that a problem?

if you are applying online for COMMON APPLICATION FORM you have to do what i said (above). You can't just print the form from whichever univ. website. that's not part of common application form.

Umm, what?
I can't even find a place that I CAN email an invite to my teachers in the Common App site. I printed the forms from the Common App site, if that's what you're trying to ask.

Are you saying that you printed the common app form from online source? you can't do that. you can't print out something from Common Application ONLINE and give it to ur teacher to fill out.
follow my instructions AGAIN

go to common app. online

go to school forms

click invite

write your teacher's name and email

your teacher will receive a email indicating that they can either fill out the form online or hardcopy. if you want hardcopy, tell ur teacher to do it hardcopy

the email has TWO LINKS
one link leads to ONLINE forms
and one link leads to HARDCOPY forms

you CANNOT print out somethings online by urself and give to ur teacher
u CANNOT
am i clear enough for you now??

We printed out all the forms from the Common Application website. From the Common App website, you go to download forms, and then down to Teacher Evaluation, and there's the PDF. You can download it, fill it in, and then print it, and sign the waiver. Then we gave the forms to teachers with stamped envelopes. In fact, this is how our school instructs us to do it. So when you say you CAN'T do that ... do you mean it's not actually physically possible (because it is)?
