how do the school grades factor in...How important....and also did anyone get bad grades in school who got accepted to Lawrenceville, St. paul, Andover, and Exeter...bad grades meaning A's and B+ in not main subjects

If you're worried about A's counting as bad grades, don't sweat your grades. However...one problem you may face is that the schools may think you're too high strung. That is if you're really looking for stuff to worry about.

Since when were all A's and a B+ bad grades?

im getting a d in algebra.......talk about bad.......but i dont really care yet

Well I think Exeter and Andover are looking for A+'s not A's on main subjects well I got B+ on a non main subject (Art and Tech) is this bad?

No, the top schools are not looking for all A+s. They want good grades, but that often means in the B+ and up range. I had mostly As and A-s and still got into Andover. One B+ is not going to matter all that much, especially since it isn't in a core subject. There are so many different factors that go into admissions that one grade isn't going to have a huge impact.

If you've got that 91% SSAT plus all A+ grades and are the World of Warcraft champion at your school and the school champion for Accelerated Reading the past 3 years running, you should brace yourself for a rejection letter from numerous schools.

If you've got that 91% SSAT plus B and B+ grades and already start for a varsity sport, founded your school's recycling program, captain the state championship middle school debate team and spent last summer hiking the Appalachian Trail...I'd put money on you getting into at least one of AESD schools.

Having a life...one that will translate into having a productive life in boarding school from sunrise to lights out...counts for A LOT.
