<p>Yes. I think in the social aspect, school definitely gives you the opportunity to test the waters of many fields that you will delve into later in life, i.e. friendships, working relationships, boy-girl relationships, drama, etc. high-school is pretty much a mcdonald's playpen, so you can do random stuff and test the boundaries and not get in too much trouble..i mean really, you probably won't see most of your fellow HSers again unless you actually make an effort to keep in touch with them.
in the academic aspect, i think some AP classes prep you for college.</p>
