School Marks

How important are they? With the entrances around the corner, my 2nd and half term are horrible (less than 60 percent) If I want to apply next year, will my boards be of more importance or the school marks? Our school doesn't have ranks and there are some people who are only studying for school (have no idea why) so there are those who score really well. For example in the GTech application, there is no seperate section for board results, only school. I don't even know if they use the board results.

Edit : Giving 12 this year, 11th results also 70 percent only. 9th - good and 10th - great.

Join the club, sir (although <60% seems a bit low. Are you ISC?).

Not in that sense. Colleges look carefully at 11th and 12th marks, regardless of whether they are board exams or school exams. In your case, getting better 12th marks will reflect well on your application, since your transcript shows an upward trend.

I don’t think any application has a separate section for “board” results. As I’ve written above, U.S. Colleges don’t really make a distinction between board and school marks, as long as they understand how each marking scheme works and what your grades actually mean.

send final grades only.

GT requires foreign credit evaluation.

You can fill out the self-reported academic record too, if you like.

But yeah, FCE is a must.

In that case 12th can only help my app I guess. Boards, not school. School will probably hurt me. Thank you for your help :)
