School of Business VS Arts & Sciences Economics

I am planning on applying to Villanova University in the fall. I would like to pursue a major in Economics, or at least that is what I am thinking right now. However, I am not sure whether I should select it through the College of Arts and Sciences or the School of Business. I believe I would like to go to law school someday, however if that does not work out, I would pursue a career in business so I feel it would be better to apply to the business school. However, business schools have a reputation of being more difficult to get into than Arts and Sciences. I do not want to risk not getting in to the school just because I applied to business when I could have had the same major in A&S. Any opinions on which I should do are welcome. I will post my stats below because that will aid in any advice people can give. Thanks!

ACT:33C, 35E, 28M, 34R, 33S

GPA:3.86 Unweighted 4.089 Weighted

I will graduate with 6 AP Classes-AP Euro, AP Stats, AP Physics 1, AP English 12, AP Government, and AP Econ. I also took an American studies course through Kenyon College junior year.

I also have spent two summers interning at one of Ohio’s U.S. senators campaign.

Any information is helpful!

@boesr99 You seem like a strong candidate for Villanova business school. Not sure what the differences are between the major in economics in CLAS and VSB. Good luck to you!

VSB is definitely much harder to get into, but your grades and record should be good for VSB over CLAS.
