Leobag, what are your options so far? Or, are you already settled?

Not yet... I am still waiting on decisions. I sent most apps pretty late--a day before the deadline (with rolling admissions). I think these next couple weeks will provide me with answers and a better sense of options.

Originally, I thought I had to stay in San Diego, so I only applied to UCSD and SDSU (both accepted). Once I found out I didn't need to stay--I rushed to apply other places (even appealing to some schools past deadline).

thanks for asking ;)

Just a question for those who have received decisions- how long after GS got all your application materials did have to wait until you heard from them?

The wait is killing me.

They got back to me after about 5 weeks. I think they release decisions 4-6 weeks after receiving all of the application materials.

bump......

Hey,
I'm completely in your shoes. I've been accepted into GS at Columbia and the main College at Gtown. I was also admitted into GS at UPENN, which I believe is slightly inferior to Columbia's.

My biggest catch is that Gtown has offered me $30,000 a year, covering all but $4,000 of my tuition. CGS and UPENN GS haven't offered my aid yet but from what I keep hearing, their grants/scholarships max out under $10,000. I have no money and neither do my parents so I would be forced to take out lots of loans for the next two years.

The question is: is the major price difference worth going to a GS program in an amazing school rather than the Main College at a very good school?

"their grants/scholarships max out under $10,000."

are you serious?
