school of Kinesiology

How do they evaluate the applicants? Do they give more preference to people who played several varsity sports in high school? I ask because I am intersted in majoring in movement science. I have around a 3.9 UW gpa and 4.1 W gpa. SAT scores are somewhere around 2000-2100. Haven't been in any varsity sports but I think this year (junior year) I'll be in JV wrestling and I've been wrestling/MMA for 5 years. Otherwise my ECs are not sport related.

If you are in-state…you are probably in.

We had a lady come to our class to encourage us to apply to U of M Kinesiology. She made it sound very nice. I hope you like it there!

I’m OOS. From CA

On the website the programs looks nice!

anyone know?

bump

10char

My nephew had very similar stats last year from CA and he was admitted. Probably a 3.8 UW and 4.2 weighted for the 10th and 11th grades. His SAT was total 2150.

Apply EARLY. NOW. ASAP. When you apply does make a difference at UM. Do not procrastinate. Do a good job with your essays and I think you have a very good shot at admission, particularly in movement science.

Thanks. I actually will hold off applying for a year…as I’m only a junior! I’ll apply early next year though.
