If a school's honor program, such as this program, says that students will need at least a 1300 in SAT scores, but does not say ACT scores explicitly, then would the school ignore ACT scores?

P.S.

Is there a huge difference, in terms of learning new things, innovation, rigor, etc., between a normal program and an honors program?

Will the college honor either SAT or ACT scores?

The University will honor either SAT or ACT scores.* The average SAT for entering freshmen in fall 2011 was 1210.* The average ACT was 27.

A 1300 SAT is just under an ACT 30

I know that the school honors ACT scores, but I specifically need to know if the school’s * honors program * honors ACT scores.

Pick up the phone, call them, and ask. It really, truly is OK to so that. They get phone calls about this all the time,

Several schools just mention one or the other because that’s what they’re most used to receiving. What’s determinative is what’s listed in the school’s admissions requirements. But if you’re concerned, like happymom said, just call and ask.
