School Petitions=suspension??

LOL
"I remember telling my Ap Euro teacher that students are powerless in school and how the only way to get something changed is to have parents start a war with the administration. Funny thing is...he didn't believe me."

When the heater in our room broke down and cold air started coming out, my Honors World History teacher (who ironically also teaches AP Euro) said that even though she was a dept. chair and all that that NOTHING got fixed when she complained to the administration 5 times. SHE SAID THAT THE ONLY WAY THE HEATER WOULD GET FIXED IS IF PARENTS CALLED AND COMPLAINED.

Anyway, I think that you should somehow show (newspaper, petition, etc) that this policy is not in the interests of the students. I WOULD NOT recommend starting a war with the administration, especially since they're so united in their mission to guard bathrooms (which is ironic, since at my school, teachers complain about the admin. all the time). I would resolve this issue peacefully, but I WOULD do SOMETHING about it.
