so my gc didn't send one in with my transcript and rec and stuff....should i harass her until she sends it or is this not that big of a deal?!? especially if someone else from my school applied?!?

same here, i would like to know as well

i was just going to bump this post too

Unfortunately, not every school has a written profile. If your school has one, you absolutely should urge your GC to send it to the colleges you applied to. The profile (if it's done corectly) is an important way for colleges to view your transcript in context -- to see how you've performed in comparison with your peers, whether you taken the toughest curriculum available to you, the percentage of your graduating classes that attend college, etc.

I'm curious. If your GC is not sending the school profile to colleges along with transcripts, what is he/she using it for?

^^^ its not that she's not sending it...she just reminded me a couple of days ago that she forgot to include it with my transcript...at the time i was just like ehh its not that big of a deal then i decided to find out whether it is a big deal or not.

i guess on Monday I'll try to get her to fax it. also if someone at my school applied and they already sent a profile should i even bother (since they'll have that one) or will it raise red flags if i don't?

I think as long as they have one from your school, you're fine. No red flags raised if one isn't included with each transcript. (Except the red flag that you have a slightly disorganized counselor.)

^^^ ehh nah my counselors great. she's actually my history teacher and i'm her only advisee lol. long story from when i transfered, but shes my favorite person at the school (besides the gf). she helped me out so much over the last two years :-D!!

Then it's all good, akybaky.

nah it'll be all good in April or late march when i get an acceptance letter (0_o knock on wood lol)
