I used schooldigger.com to see my school's rank. Turns out my school is 151st of 1447 California public high schools. What are your rankings?

1 of a bajillion

162 out of 307 Massachusetts public high schools

according to that site, my school is 136 out of 355 schools in NJ

89 out of 371 NC schools

15th out of Florida schools.

129/811. That's pretty good I guess.

^^ from NY ^^^

nice.Decent schools we have here.

"9th of 207 Maryland public high schools"

WUT?! LOL that's sooo good... how do they determine this?! I'm proud... I like my school. :3

10/80 of New Hampshire public schools, but we should be higher. Although our standardized testing is almost exactly 50% of the #1 school in the state heh :)

7/604 in Illinois
I'm surprised, since its a public school

yay for mediocrity...lol...for those of you going to great schools (ahem poseur), appreciate the opportunities you have that others don't

and for those of us in not-so-excellent schools, we should still appreciate the opportunities we have as we could be without an education at all

This is complete BS... This is the type of **** that is throwing the California education system to the **** cesspool it is in right now. "Screw education, teach them the ****ing TEST!!!"

"Rank is determined by adding each school's average CST Algebra I score with the average CST English-Language Arts Standards score to form a combined average score."

Basically they added two subsections of the California State Standards test to get an average. Nothing else in consideration. No wonder that Asian standardized test grind suburban Whitney High is ranked number one on the list.

Let's rank colleges based on SAT average too. I'm sure we'll have an accurate picture of things.

We do. Basically.

It's better than Newsweek, which ranks by number of AP/IB tests taken and not how well students do on them.

Newsweek's ranking would be improved if they just multiplied average tests taken (the current measure) by average score. I wonder if that data is available.

I like how all these states have so few schools. My school is in exactly the 50th percentile of California's 1447 public high schools.

Meanwhile my elementary school was in the 93rd percentile (out of 5335 in CA), and my middle school was 43rd percentile (out of 1081).

Wow, my elementary school is 325 out of 1011 and my middle school is 68 out of 340 in Massachusetts. Shocking, lol, considering the middle school is falling down around itself.

High school ranked 58th in California... pretty good I guess.

51st out of 1447 public schools in California. Kinda surprised but I don't think the schools were fairly ranked.
