School Report one day late?

Hi, I have applied to Harvard, but we've been a bit late on sending in the School Report and Teacher Evaluations, they were sent out by Fedex on the 28th, and according to the route, there's an 80% chance they will arrive on the 31st...however, if it doesn't make it for then, it will be delivered on the 2nd (because of the public holiday).

My question is, would the admission office still accept one day late forms from my school? I understand that if it was my application, it would not be accepted, but I have already applied, its just the school forms.

Do you think they would still be accepted on Jan 2?

Thanks :)

I don't know Harvard, but I would guess that they will accept it on the 2nd. There is no chance they will read all of the applications on January 1! One, it's a holiday, two, there will be thousands (sorry, but it's true!) and three, as long as the parts of the application from you, the student, are on time, they will probably be more understanding of the parts of the application from the school. You sent it FedEx and it will be date stamped the 28th, which will almost surely be sufficient. Relax! It's done!

Thanks franglish! Those were my thoughts exactly, but your reply takes a huge weight off my chest...no that's a weight off my whole body, I think I actually lost a few grams just now.

Thanks :)

Relax: they want the apps that you are responsible for by the deadline. The school stuff can continue to roll in. H knows you can't control those things. And if something remained outstanding, they would contact you or your school, depending on which item they needed.

There aren't evil trolls sitting in the Cambridge mail room tossing items into a huge furnace that aren't postmarked correctly, you know.

They are humans who want to serve their university and potential students and are sympathetic to the quirks of everyday life.
