one of the schools i applied to emailed me to ask me for more financial information so that they could complete my financial aid award...is this a good sign that i may be accepted? why would they bother completing a financial aid award if they intend to reject me? or am i just being overly hopeful..

Well, if you applied for financial aid then they are required for you to complete the application for financial aid before giving you their admissions decision. I don’t think they would send a financial aid packet unless you applied for it.

I have no idea. Some colleges are weird like that.

I remember NYU asked for my mid-term grades and an admission rep emailed me multiple and asked that I re-apply for fall consideration because some problem with my application (I didn’t have to pay the fee again)…and I still was rejected. I was positive that if there were doing all of this work, I was in.
