as my title says, i've narrowed it down to 3 choices. However picking one is very difficult, so i though i might ask u guys.

Wash U --> Half tuition scholarship total comes out to be 30k /yr
University of Florida --> 10000/yr no scholarships
University of Toronto --> 18000/yr

I know that GPA is a very imp part of the med application, however how much does prestige factor in?

Taking cost, prestige, relative ease of maintaing a good gpa, research opportunities, which do you guys think is a best fit.

First, I would take toronto off the list, because from my knowledge its hard to get into a US school from a Canadian school (correct me if I am wrong). I would pick UF but I am bias. I think that presitige factor is very, very small factor when it comes to medical school admissions. It more about you scores, gpa, ec's, research, etc. I know 1 person that got into vanderbilt from fiu and another get into emory from ucf.

Fit isn't about what we think. It's entirely about you. Further, fit isn't usually about the things you mentioned - it's about the culture and surroundings of a school and how you will establish yourself in that place.

Do you prefer big time D1 sports? What about joining a fraternity or sorority? Do you like the idea of a big school where you'll always have new people to meet? Do you like the idea that, on occasion, you'll be able to disappear into the crowd (like for that lame psych class you end up taking sophomore year)? Are you particularly averse to cold weather?

If you answered yes to most of these then, UF seems like the better fit. If you said no, then WUSTL is the better fit. Of course expense needs to be considered, and there are probably many other ways that the two schools differ that may be important to you and not anyone else. Sometimes you've just got to go with your gut.
