School sent my transcripts SUPER LATE, sending mid-year report in two weeks...

How quickly does Harvard process applications? If my transcripts are only arriving now and my mid-year report is arriving in two weeks, will they have viewed my application without the mid-year report (and potentially made a decision to send me to committee or not) by then? Or will I most likely have adcoms reading my application in its entirety...

Since your file wasn’t complete, they probably put it at the back – reading others first. Now that it’s complete, they’ll begin its assessment.

Does ‘complete’ include the mid year report, or not?

Also, I’ve heard reading period goes right up until March. Since there’s such a huge quantity of applicants, does being ‘put at the back’ mean getting looked at towards the end of the reading period?

A file is usually considered ‘complete’ when it includes an applicant’s Common App with essay, supplement with essays, transcript, school profile, teacher recommendations, SSR, and official test score report. As each high school sends in mid-year reports at varying times, files are often read before mid-year reports arrive. Now that your file is complete, my guess is that it will be read by at least two Admissions Officers in February. If the two Admissions Officers “like you” your file will be bumped up to the regional Admissions Officer who will read your file and decide whether to present it to the full committee in March.
