What will happen when the universities get my school form but I haven't applied yet? Will they create a new file for me?

From what I understand, a college will create a file for each student from whom they receive application materials. These include transcripts, SAT/ACT scores, letter of recommendation, student application, etc. Once the college has received ALL the components that they require, then they will review your file.

So if you are worried that your transcript may arrive before you have filled out your application, that is fine. Just know, they will wait to get everything before making a decision. But, make sure to have it all sent prior to the college’s deadline.

My D’s transcripts, scores, and LOR’s were all sent about a month before her applications on all the schools she applied RD for. No problem at all, got confirmation letters and/or emails confirming everything arrived.
