Hi, I'm a junior in high school with a 3.7 gap (90-95) living in New York. I've always had my yeast set on Boston College, prestigious school, beautiful old campus, less then half an hour away from the city, but I have realized that my chances are very slim. I also love University of Southern California but I know that school is really selective. I play lacrosse, and am president of 2 clubs. I am interested in journalism, and entrepreneurship. I also like that Boston's Catholic college but that's not a major priority. I really also like the co-op program at Northeastern but that's a little too into the city. I would love to be part of a school with a big sports team. I'm not limited to any location. I'd love for people's input and suggestion on how to get into schools or schools they think would be good for me. Thanks so much!

Villanova immediately comes to mind.
-Half an hour from Philly
-Beautiful campus
-Presitgious (#1 in the Regional North rankings on USNWR if that matters)
-Huge sports culture (D1)
-Catholic

What are your test scores? I think a 2000+/30+ would make it a match for you.

Why do you feel like your chances are slim? I’m applying to BC in a month for EA and have the same GPA as you do. Now I’m worried Being that you’re still a junior, you still have a chance to bring up your GPA.

Villanova sounds like what youre looking for.

Holy Cross

University of Notre Dame!
-about an hour and a half from Chicago
-BEAUTIFUL campus
-great athletics programs
-Catholic university

Only thing is that it is pretty selective, so admission is heavily based on grades, extracurriculars, etc

I haven’t taken sat’s yet I am taking them this winter, I hope to get above 1800 on my first SAT but would like to improve to high 1900’s

I would love that but I think that ND is too hard for me

I Would also like to know what people think of University of Southern California, and University of Michigan

USC is pretty selective so you definitely want to aim for the 2000s in the SAT and continue to do well in school! I am applying to both BC and USC this fall good luck!
