School Size vs. EC Opportunities

If I go to a very large public school with around 3,500 students, what do the admissions officers think regarding the size vs. the opportunity of EC/leadership?

Do they think large schools have more opportunities?

Do they think large schools have better potential for more leadership positions, or less because of more competition due to a large student body?

Thanks.

Also, does anybody know if admission officers know of what activities were offered at your school? I see a lot of people on CC competing in these academic competitions, few of which were offered to my school.

It depends if the school sends a lot of students to college. If it is more well know than colleges will know more about the school and the type of opportunities available. I feel that big schools offer lots of opportunities. I went to a public high school with around 4,500 students and I really liked it and feel that it offered me many experiences.

well you hould mostly be taking advantage of ECs outside of school.
