school sponsored ACT

how do you find out if a school near you is having the ACT not on the national test date????

Anybody want to help me here?

I would try act.org

Not sure, I am taking a school sponsored test on the 26th :)

I might be wrong, but I believe that if it's not taken on a national test date, the tests are flagged as 'Special'. I think that unless your school is voluntarily hosting it, you have to pretty much 'bring your own proctor' when this is the case. Meaning, you have to find a person qualified and willing to give the test on that given date - ACT will not do it for you.

. . . and they won't let you test Special without a good reason, like you are in prison or you have a documented disability requiring accommodations other than time-and-a-half.

Illinois and one other state use the ACT as part of their yearly tests. Not all colleges accept these though. I would ask your counselor or whoever is in charge of testing.
