School starts in a month, anyone know any good time management skills?

I have 6APs on my senior schedule, and I am notoriously bad for my time management skills. So do you guys have any tips for ideal time management?

haha....good luck. and pray to your AP God every night.

....snickers
it's really what you set your mind to...if you're not a stuck-in-front-of-the-desk-for-10-hours-a-day student, try different subject every hour, and take a break in-between to relax your brain once in a while (maybe 1 hour study, 10 min break?) i expect you to survive....with the help of the AP GOD OF COURSE! mwahahah

All hail the AP God.

Try miniature rewards here and there. Maybe an elaborate chart that charts your progress and schedules stuff would help, too. I find that my obsessive-compulsiveness helps along with some self-convincing.

Eh I wouldn't recommend this, but I skip lunch to do hw in the library. I do my hw in class if I can. I snatch every opportunity.

i AM the AP GOD. all hail moi.

lol...sorry.
skipping luncH! don't do that!
oh yeah, and never skip breakfast either..
getting your meal throughout the day helps you keep focus, and retain your energy from being poured all-out into your AP homeworks. Eat right, sleep well (try at least 5-6 hours a day) taking naps is a good idea..but don't make it a habit

I'm an aspiring body builder which means I eat 4,000 calories a day. Tuna, Oatmeal, chicken, gotta stack the protein and NEVER miss a meal so I'm covered with the food

Has anyone taken these many APs? Did you do the homework? I want all As first semester and I could careless as long as I pass second semester..

trying to avoid senioritis

eww... :( nasty.
seriously, though, carbs fuel your brain.

senioritis is hard to avoid. just try to make the best of what's left in your HS year after all is settled.

Make sure you don't miss yer supplements. And it's no use eating all that if you dont work out lots. But I think i'm in the same place you're in...try to get some EFAs in that diet as well, I'm trying to get as much in my diet as you. Dont forget balancing your diet...veggies are real important as are carbs(obviously), outmeal is great for that, but you should try sweet potatoes too.

Oh, you're a senior lol. I thought you were going to be a junior like me ;p still, same advice applies

Supplements: NO XPLODE, Green Tea, Multi Vitamin,

I follow the K.I.S.S. (keep it simple, stupid) methalogy

my eFa is salmon and avacado lol maybe flax oil

maybe i missed something - or maybe the ap classes when i was in high school were really easy - but i don't remember being stressed out or anything senior year with a bunch of honors and aps.

whats the deal here?

whatever, both of ya. if you want to be bodybuilders, go ahead. :-/

This stuff is not just bodybuilder stuff, it's by and far the healthiest food you can put into your body. None of this fatty crap that clogs your arteries...sure it might not always taste so good, but the results will be worth it!

^ 165 pounds, 5' 6" 8% bf = girls love it

well, good for you, but wasn't this about time management?

I think it all depends on how you've prepared yourself--how many APs have you taken before?

I have 4 coming up this year (my senior year too) and I'm not that stressed--just make sure you have some studyhalls

Wow prism haha you've got roughly 40-45 pounds of muscle on me even though you're an inch shorter :o
Freaking indian genes&diet >_<

Don't procrastinate (easier said than done).

..I should take my own advice every once in a while..

At least u don't have to take the finalllls :) ie last 2 weeks off which is simply amazing

I took three ap's while keeping my bodybuilding diet pretty normal. I had to prepare most of my powders and such in the morning, like in baggies. Take a shaker and a gallon of water around school...I got to leave at the half day mark, so I was free after that. I would eat during class, I usually kept it to eating every two hours. My diet was my time management basically

Yea I'm reading this article by this dude named steve pavlina (its at his website stevepavlina.com) he took 31 credits in 1.5 semesters or something so he has some good tips on time management

and yea I got way of topic with the body building info, Ke- I'm Indian too, and a natural endo meso, it took me 2-3 years to go from 5'6" 162 26% to where I am now

FerstAmmenment dude I tried taking a gallon of water around school, and aside from the weird looks I get, I can't afford to have to go to the bathroom every 5 minutes!

Ah but then your build was naturally bulky...imo its tougher to cut than to bulk -_- and it really does suck not being able to take water everywhere because having a gallon a day would be nice.

oh time management right uhh...well yes, not procastinating is a big one. If you do your homework as soon as possible it's way easier and you dont feel guilty at night knowing you have loads of hw to do.

Hm. From personal experience, I think dropping your lunch for a studyhall or another class helps a ton.

First, you don't have the "hang out with my friends" mentality. The school day is all work, so you're not thinking about the next distraction you can make.

Second, it's easier to spread out the diet. I went with a 6 small-meal diet when I was trying to put weight on. Without a lunch, you'll want to eat a quickie right before class, during class, or on the way to class, whatever the school/teacher policy is. For drinks/shakes, I always carried mine with me to classes. It's not that big of a deal.

In summation, just focus when school is in session; use the weightlifting to clear the cobwebs.
