I know deadlines are coming and going for so many schools. I am currently a second semester sophomore, so this is my last chance to finally breakaway from my current institution. My overarching reasons for yearning to transfer stems from a health diagnosis I had that I allowed to prevent me from going away for college (I currently commute), lack of academic rigor, and deficiency of an actual finance major. My current school only offers a concentration.
So far, I applied to USC and Tulane. Although I am still without a decision from USC, I was accepted to Tulane with the Collegiate Achievement Award ($16,000 a year scholarship). I believe this is the top scholarship for transfers at the institution, so I am rather thankful. I am awaiting my official financial aid package from Tulane, and in the mean time, I would like to apply to others schools just in case the FA is not what I was expecting from the NPC.
Can someone suggest some schools for me to look into? Echoing what I previously mentioned, I understand so many deadlines have already passed for schools, and I know others are right around the corner, so I am unable to apply to school’s that require letters of recommendation. I did not apply with any L.O.R to USC and Tulane since I applied at the last minute, so I am in the same predicament again. Here are my stats:
Current Institution: Small 4-year LAC in NJ
Major: Finance
Year: Second semester sophomore
GPA: 3.95
Credits: After the completion of this semester, I will have ~74.
ECs: A myriad ranging from an internship in my school’s budget department offered to me by one of my professors, lots of political activism (intern on local and presidential campaigns), etc.
If any other information would be of help, I would happily provide you with it.
Thank you for your time!
