school suggestions

hi guys-
i'm looking for last minute suggestions as to where i should apply for transfer. i'm already working on apps so i know i can finish a few more if the deadlines are past april, and if i really like a school someone suggests but the deadline already passed, i can always apply next year.
i'm not completely satisfied with my school mainly because of the lack of diversity (racial, socio-economical, religious, geographical, etc..) and homogeneous student body. also, i'm thinking of changing my major from business to international relations/studies, although i do want to take some more business related courses.
i would prefer a medium sized school (~8000 students) but i'm not too picky about size. location in or around a big city would be nice and i would like to have the option of having a decent social life without joining a sorority. athletics is not a big concern.
i went to a public high school in long island, new york, graduated with a 4.3/4.5 weighted (~3.8/4.0) with so-so extracurriculars. scored 700 CR, 800 M, 710 W (2210 total) on the SATs. currently a freshman in a respected private college with a 3.5/4.0 from the first semester, not too many extracurriculars.
can you guys think of any schools that would be good fits? i already started my apps for emory university and claremont mckenna college.

By any chance, do you go to the University of Miami, LOL? I would definitely not recommend USC.

Some schools that might suit you are NYU, Lehigh, Carnegie Mellon, Villanova, Rice, Elon, Georgetown and Northwestern

American or GW

y do ppl reccommend schools completely below their skill level. Do people have a misconception on how competitive these schools really are? The guy above is more competitive that American or GW.

Seriously, American with those scores? Maybe its because I grew up around D.C. and I know tons from American, but those kids are NOT smart. Everyone of the kids who went to American that I knew had 0 ecs, yes 0, 2.0 to 3.5 uw high school GPAs and no one I knew from there had an sat over 1250 with no APs and no SATIIs.
American is not an elite school and I have seen several times on this board it being treated as tough as Georgetown.
GW, a little harder, but yeah they are not rigorous. Example, friend from random low level cal state (not UC) school, never took SATs, 3.5 GPA in college no honors courses , no APs, maxed out at precalculus, VERY medicore high school level essays (5 paragraph form, using ONE, instead of I) got into Elliot School at GW.

GW is getting pretty competitive to get into. For transfer you still need a good 3.4-3.5.

haha no, i don’t go to the university of miami.
i’m definitely looking into georgetown and northwestern. i think i would rather work my butt off for another year and try for georgetown next year rather than go to GW, though.
and bruinsjew, why do you not recommend USC? When I visited as a senior in high school i remember the tour guide saying they have one of the largest international student bodies out of universities in the US and they, or atleast the business school, was placing a big emphasis on being global, which i consider a plus.
