I'm looking to become a veterinarian, but I'm not sure if I have the grades to get into any good schools. I'm smart, but Sophomore and Junior year were really difficult for me because I was going through some family problems. I've discussed this with my counselor and she has told me she'll write a letter to the schools I apply to to tell them about this, but I doubt they'll really consider it when going through applications.

Weighted GPA is a 4.4/5
Unweighted is a 4.0/5
ACT score: 27 (I recently took the June ACT which I feel a lot better about. We'll have to see what I get though)

I've taken all honors classes through out high school and four AP classes. My senior schedule consists of four AP classes and one college class.

I don't have that many extra-curricular. Just Track & Field, my church's Youth Ministry Team, and volunteer work at the local animal shelter.

I'd prefer a smaller school, and I've only really looked at my sister's college, Lake Forest, (I live in Illinois) but I'm not really sure what colleges to look at to pursue a veterinary career. So any suggestions are certainly welcome, but obviously I'm probably not going to get into a very selective school.
