school supplies

hopefully this doesn't seem like a dumb question. what kind of supplies do we need to bring to class. i'm assuming it's not like high school where we have to bring binders with dividers and such. textbooks, notebooks and something to write with good enough? i'm jst wondering if i need to buy and bring binders to college. thanks!

well..one thing I coudnt do without was spiral bound notebooks for taking notes..then just the usual pens, pencils, lose leaf paper, and maybe a regular folder..I brought a binder but i never used it.

thank you!

Spirals- Yes.

Binders- No. Bulky, heavy to carry around, and the few sheets you get from class won't be hole-punched anyway (usually).

I went out yesterday and dropped like $600 on college stuff. lamp, computer software, pens, you name it. =)

FUN.

School supplies are amazing.

It's the actually having to use them in class that sucks.

for most classes you'll only need paper and something to write with unless your professor says otherwise... generally most people don't bring textbooks to class because they're heavy and useless during most lectures (well, for south campus classes at least.) but, you may want some of the "fun" school supplies in your dorm room just in case you need them like ruler, stapler, glue, markers, tape, hole punch, scissors, and well, you get the picture....

haha the "fun" school supplies. that is sooo true. when i think about it, i always enjoy the opportunity to use those supplies.

you have no idea! for LS2, i actually made a "tree" of all the phylogenies of organisms to study from... it was big and color coded and pinned to my wall (i was living in rieber at the time so i had the cork-board walls.) i had soo much fun putting it together but, my roomie thought i was crazy....

was it really LS2 that we learned the phylogenies of organisms??..i could have sworn thats LS1..hmm..maybe I was more alseep in that class than I thought :-P heh

I agree with Bruinbee09: phylogeny was taught to me in LS 1.

you're right... opps... well, we can blame it on the fact that i had been up since 4am....
