What school supplies will I need for college? I know college is different from high school and I just am wondering if I can get a few ideas of how people stay organized (binders/notebooks/other supplies)

Also, I remember there was a thread where parents posted important stuff to bring to college so if anybody could supply a link for that, that would be awesome!

Did you check Belmont High’s list of what to pack for college? I linked it many years ago to the CC parent cafe. check out the bedding thread at the top.

I use almost the exact same supplies I used in high school. Whatever worked for you in high school, if it genuinely worked, may very well work for you in college, too. The only difference for me is that I can no longer borrow my dad’s stapler and 3 hole punch, so I got some of those. I also got some binders to file old work in. If I keep up with it I think that will be very useful, you want to have the smallest amount of stuff in your backpack for class as humanly possible. The system that I used in both high school and college is a duotang folder for each class with current assignments and stuff I use every day, and a binder for each class at home with all my old work and stuff I may need to reference later.

I also find I use highlighters MUCH more than I used to. Things like that may come up after you get to school but you will have ample opportunity to purchase school supplies after school starts.

That’s a good list but double up on the surge protector or extension outlets, or buy a universal recharger unit. Also a few gigs of thumb drive back ups preferably two in case one gets lost. Kids dont use paper and filing systems its all on data media devises. And TV is watched on the internet and rarely on a regular tv set.
