all my stuff is dead or lost or stolen by the end of the year

Hm. A lot I had or got wholesale. But this is what I’m taking to school this year I guess.
1 2 inch binder (APUSH)
1 1.5 binder (French or English. Depends)
2-3 1 inch binder
Approx 7 folders (1 for each class. even if i have a binder)
French Dictionary
Dry erase board for locker
Magnetic note pad for locker
Pencils (mechanical and wood)
Erasers (Pink Pearls)
Pens (Cheapo ones. I usually use pencils)
Lots of spiral bound college ruled notebooks (for various uses)
Loose leaf college ruled paper (for notes, usually if I keep a binder for the class)
Note card binder (english)
Ruler
3x5 Notecards
Small bad of rubber bands
Scissors (Various reasons)
Binder tabs/dividers
Sharpies
Hand sanitizer (for locker)
That’s about it…I love office supplies.

Haha I’m pretty much the same. I have used the same pens for a while and a mechanical pencil for three years for everything except in situations where mech pencils are prohibited (i.e. SAT/AP tests). It’s a sturdy metal Pentel! I have no need for flashcards and most of the rest of the stuff. lols When I “shop” for school supplies, usually all I get are lead refills for the pencil and some notebooks. If I feel like “splurging” on stuff I rarely will use, I get those stickynote type bookmarks.

Yes, it is possible to take good notes on the iPad. You can download an app and not even have to worry about the typing as long as you have a stylus, because you are able to just write on the screen and it will save your work into different notebooks. Pretty nifty. Our school makes us have iPads. Not that its a bad thing. :)

Woo, i’m not the only one who re-uses pens! I have a lucky red pen that i’ve used for 99% of the writing stuff i’ve done since sophomore year. I just carry around an extra thing of red ink and swap them out when it gets empty.

Mechanical pencils, pens and highlighters.

Accordion folder, pencils, pens, and paper. All I need.

I’m a little too obsessed about my school supplies. Haha.

I’m attempting be more organized this year, so I brought:

A Big Planner ( I hate the little ones. I always lose them.)
2 1in binders for my BlowOff Senior classes
1 2in binder for my two Dual Enrollment Class
3 FlexBinders for my AP Classes
A whole bunch of composition books for Calc class
8 packs of mech. pencils

and PENS. Omg. I’m way to picky about my pens. I need color pens,so the best time to by is only school shopping time.

4 3 packs of Frixion pens for math ( I’m obsessed with them! Erasing is almost perfect)
1 20 color pack of Foray pens
4 Way Bic writer
2 8 color packs of Uniball Signio pens

I don’t really use black, so I end up with WAY too many black pens. (Bothers my eyes, I can’t explain why)

Lol, wow! I go school supply shopping only a few days before school–sometimes even after school started. I have these folders that I’ve been using since freshman year (I’m now a senior), and they are PERFECT because they’re especially made to avoid the ends tearing. They still look brand new.
School supplies for me are:

Umm.
Some led pencils. Atlantic by Bic are the best.
Pens in blue, black, red.
Like 5 packs of notebook paper.
A pencil bag.
Something to put my calculator in.

I haven’t decided on binders yet. I’ll have to see my schedule first. Hopefully I can buy as few as possible.

You. I like you.

Yeah I also like school supplies too ^-^ Makes me feel prepared and organized :)

I love school supply shopping! Niquii77, who suggested the InkJoy pens: I took your advice, and they’re like heaven! Not super inky and you don’t have to put obscene amounts of pressure on them for a crisp, dark line. I highly recommend them! And I’ve been using the Black Pearl erasers since freshman year as well - so good! Anyway, enough obsessing over products. I bought…

-Lilly Pulitzer mini agenda (really nice with an unnecessary but cute floral pattern)
-Pack of black InkJoy pens
-Pack of G2 pilot pens (blue, black, red, & green)
-Pack of BIC mechanical pencils
-2 half inch binders
-Plastic folder
-Pack of wide-ruled notebook paper
-Dividers

I have tons of leftover spiral notebooks, erasers, highlighters, index cards, and post-its around my house. I also have a Mead pencil case for all my utensils. I’ll probably make a second trip the evening of the first day of school for any miscellaneous things my teachers may require. An accordion folder sounds like a smart idea, though!

3 binders (1 2-inch, 2 1-inch)
3 packs of college ruled paper
Foray pens and pencils (I tried the mechanical pencils. They’re the best. I haven’t tried the pens yet.)
Highlighters
A pink Mead pencil case
And 2 packs of dividers.

That’s just for my classes in school. I don’t know what I’ll need for my college (Dual enrollment) classes.

I love back-to-school shopping too.

I don’t know exactly what classes I’ll be in next year until August, but I got…
1 1-inch binder w/ dividers (AP Lit)
1 graph notebook and a folder (math)
2 composition books and a folder (history)
2 Walmart Five-Star knockoff notebooks- the ones with pockets in the front (sciences)

So far I just have a section of the binder set aside for art class, because I have no clue what I’ll need or even what art class I’ll be in. I also have the usual highlighters, pens, pencils, sticky notes, text flags, calculator, etc.

Trapper keeper, paper, pencils, pens

Is it better to shop online? Also, my locker shelves always break…have you guys tried any that last for a long time?

@aishwar6 I shop in person, but just because I’m a very discerning consumer. I spent 45 minutes in Wal-Mart looking for a planner, opening every single one to compare them. I got some… interesting looks. But I have a really nice planner. And I have a really good shelf, it’s black and has sort of a grate as the actual shelf part, and folds to stand in my locker… but I don’t remember if it had a brand name. It helps to put stuff beneath it to help support it, at least in my experience.

And I’m re-using my binders from last year (since I have almost all the same classes… IB, yay!), but I’m getting 3" binders for each course to have a comprehensive guide to everything we’ve done in there at home for study purposes, and to keep all the things I need while I empty the binders for a new year.

I’ll probably get another set of Paper Mate Clear Point lead pencils (the little two-pack), since mine always get lost or stolen during the year. And, of course, more 0.7" lead refills. I use the Pilot G2 pens, I love them! I’m debating getting a folder for each class, but that’ll be a lot of stuff, considering I have a binder, textbook (well, for most), and composition notebook (I got the Mead wireless ones, and those are awesome!) for each class.

Oh, and I’ll need LOTS of dividers for my new 3" notebooks.

One good thing about IB -> one more excuse to buy school supplies.

I absolutely adore supply shopping, mostly because it makes me feel organized. The week before school, I label all my notebooks and make sure the colors match my textbook covers (I’m not sure why I do that, haha). And then, school starts and I diligently take notes for a week.
By the second week of school, I carry around one notebook and don’t even take notes.
I’m really lazy.
As for pens - I buy cheap ones because I lose pens like nobody’s business.

Just curious, what are the specific supplies you guys like to use for each class? For example, I usually don’t like using notebooks in math classes and resort to looseleaf paper, since I don’t take many notes in that class to start with. For history and English, though, I need a huge notebook.
