What School to apply to if ur interested in business?

The AEM (applied economics and management) program in the College of Agriculture and Life sciences is the major for people who want to pursue business. I think you can apply to ILR, as well, but most people I know in ILR are pre-law.

If you want an MBA it doesn't matter what youwere in undergrad.

AEM is a popular major for business futured students here.
So are economics (in CALS and CAS) and ILR
For hospitality related business (hotel, restaurant, hospital, cruise lines, etc.) the School of Hotel Admin. is without peer.

Business schools want some basic business background courses from college applicants, like econ and stuff, but what they really want are writing skills, intelligence, and at least a little post-college work experience. You don't by any means need to take all the marketing, entrepenureship, etc. classes of AEM as an undergrad, especially if you'd prefer to be, overall, more educated in the traditional sense.

You could also try Operations Research and Industrial Engineering (ORIE) in the College of Engineering, but I do not know how close that is to business.

Like I said, as long as you take the few basic pre-business school recommended courses, your major has no little to no impact on your MBA acceptance.
