I'm just wondering if anyone's ever gone through the whole school to school transfer process/have any knowledge about it?

I'm currently at Newark doing visual arts. The campus here is just okay, but what's really pushing me towards transferring to NB is the lack of courses offered here. Especially since I'm hoping to double major in a language, which is impossible on this campus.

This is my first year here and I'm looking to get myself to NB asap... I just don't know if all credits will transfer? I'd really rather not do any extra time with college because I've already put it off for two years and I want to finish as fast as I can!

I haven’t gone through the process, but I will be! The only difference is that I’m already at NB, just transferring programs. That website has a lot of information, you should be able to apply for next fall. I’m not sure about the credits, but I’m sure there wouldn’t be too many problems since it’s still Rutgers…

Thanks for that! I looked at the site and it seems pretty easy, just worried I’ll be all set and then all these credits won’t transfer over.

Good luck to you! Are you transferring into a professional school at Newark?

Yeah I’m hoping to get the credits sorted out…I accepted Newark admission over NB because I thought the smaller size would be good and they kept telling me that they had everything I was looking for in my college requirements. But a lot of my friends have transferred over from NB professional schools, like business and nursing, and their credits end up not all transferring over so they have to do an extra year. Oh, RUScrew.

I actually just transferred to NB SAS from a community college, but I’m applying to NB Nursing in Feb for next fall.

That’s really strange about the credits, but I guess every program is different. I spoke to the nursing school here already and they’d actually accept more of my credits from my community college than SAS did, so you never know! There are definitely people you could talk to about that. If anything, there are many ways to fight it!
