School Uniform

wow that school looks really nice. but the uniforms - WOW that looks uncomfortable

I had to wear a uniform in high school. It was navy blue and the ugliest thing on the face of the planet. I loved it. Seriously, everyone would always complain, but I was secretly happy not to have to go through the effort of coming up with something to wear each day. The only problem is now I'm starting college (and they don't have uniforms there, :D) and I'm a bit screwed over because I hardly have any decent clothes to wear out... they just weren't that necessary in high school. I've got like party clothes, then my uniform. And two slightly normal outfits. Yeah. I need to go shopping.

I have no uniform. However the district is making the elementary school kids wear them this year. Next year the Jr. High people will wear them, and eventually they're going to make (or at least try) to make the high schoolers wear them. Luckily I won't be effected, this is my last year here, thank goodness. xD We have a public school, and I know some public schools have uniforms, but I find it odd. I could never wear a uniform, I like wearing what I want.

Our district thinks uniforms will help with some of the discipline problems.... which personally.... I doubt. Ah well.. not my problem.

no uniforms here. good thing. i absolutely abhor uniforms.

No uniforms and glad.

In my junior high they once tried to instate a rule saying guys couldn't wear pink because it was a gang color.. all the guys wearing pink shirts were wearing the shirts that the high school sold at our lunches to raise money for the cross-country team. It was a ridiculous effort, and happily failed.

I'd hate to have uniforms. I loathe skirts, don't care much for khakis, and I can't tell you the last time I wore a polo. I don't like to label myself, so I would absolutely hate to be FORCED to dress in such a stereotypically 'preppy' way. I live in my jeans and tees.

A lot of schools nearby (I live in the suburbs of Detroit) are adding dress codes.. I'm just glad it didn't extend to my district.

we don't have uniforms, but we do have restrictions. Like no tanks, short shorts, etc.
