Schools for 30 ACT

@carolinamom2boys i think what might be it is that i took it October/December this year, only 3 months into Precalc so many topics we didnt cover yet, so I had to figure them out myself. But for now Im focusing on the new sat, might do one last ACT in the fall senior year but I think my score can serve me fine if nothing pans out. I got lucky for the first time haha I was trying for a 28C as my final score

Based on the info you provided, all the schools you listed in post #11 would be matches are low reaches with the exception of W&M which is a reach as you are out of state. Showing interest at Lehigh is important, so doing that would help your application.

Lafayette
Loyola MD
Trinity

@NEPatsGirl - I just plugged the number into Naviance which I’ve found to be a good source when it came to both of my kids and college matches. I then asked for matches in the northeast and each of the colleges I listed came up as possible matches.

To the OP - For some reason many people who post scores on CC are mostly in the top 1% which obviously is not the real world. You really don’t need to score in the top 1% to get into a good college. Scoring in top 95% which you did will also do the trick.

Also, realize that many colleges will show statistics on admitted students which is not the same as the statistics for attending students. It’s marketing.

@amy989 thanks for the advice. this website can drive you crazy where it seems like everyone getting in has 2200’s and 34’s. but then again these are the types of students that would use this website haha. i use naviance as well but sometimes the information is outdated for some schools, still a great tool though

good luck with it - besides the $ spent on applications it can’t hurt to apply.

Villanova, Northeaster (Maybe), Rochester, Richmond, UMass Amherst.
