Hello all. I am a rising senior at a large public high school in rural MD. I am looking to apply to UVA, UNC, UMD, Wake Forest, NC State, Emory, and Richmond with safeties being Penn State and Delaware.
I have no hooks and will receive little financial aid, as both parents went to college and my family makes 280k per year

ACT: 32 (first try, going to retake)
SAT: 2090 (superscored); 1990 (single sitting)
SAT IIs: Waiting on Math 2 and Bio E
AP: US Gov’t (5), English Lang (pending), Calc AB (pending), Bio (pending)
Rank: At semester it was 7/260
GPA: 96.667%

I am counting on my essays to be incredibly strong, possibly about my experiences with Scouts or swimming. My recs will also be very strong also. Counselor rec will be an issue because I have had three different guidance counselors throughout high school.

I think you have a good chance at all your schools, but anyone out of state to UVA has zip chance. Most schools are really good for biology in general. If you want to stay south Agnes Scott in GA is a mostly women’s college that accepts mean that was ranked by Princeton review as a good bio school.
