<p>Which are the best civil engineering schools in the US? Factors in consideration include undergraduate research opportunities, co-op/internship opportunities and post-graduation job placement (for international students).</p>

<p>Also, I'm interested in both Michigan and Columbia. Michigan has a more highly-regarded civil engineering program, but Columbia has the post-graduation opportunities of New York City. Which one is best for an international student who is serious on engineering (with investment banking being a second option but not a first priority). Any thoughts?</p>
