I do not know which engineering I want.
I want to search what science I truly like in college.

In this case, what school would be the best for me???

Is engineering generally not very good in schools like HYP???

A big school would give you more options. HYP are not known for engineering, but you could go and then get a master's elsewhere if you wanted to. Look at Johns Hopkins, Cornell, Carnegie Mellon, Worchester Polytech, Rensselaer Polytech, and some large state universities known for engineering (Purdue, Penn State, Michigan State). Worchester Polytech is big on project courses. That might let you gain exposure to different aspects of engineering faster.

That's a good list of schools.

OneMom, you're wrong about Princeton. Although Cornell has the strongest engineering program of the ivies, princeton isn't far behind.

If you're looking for a LACish type school with engineering I would also suggest Dartmouth (Thayer)...although they only have general engineering, or union college.

Stanford and Duke also have very good programs.

Va Tech has a good engineering school. Don't know your test scores and GPA, so just tossing out a school that is less difficult to get into than the ones listed above.

If you have good scores, UVA has a good engineering program, but is also good in other areas in case you change your mind later

MIT and Stanford are pretty much great in all engineering. I also agree with StPlayrXtreme; in the ivies Princeton and Cornell would probably be the best.

Swarthmore is one of the few LACs that has engineering.
Caltech is also very strong for engineering, if you can handle the intensity.

Check out Olin, Cooper Union. Another good state school would be Rutgers-NB

Upenn, Carnegie Mellon, MIT, Caltech, Berkeley, Stanford, Olin.
