Schools for Undergrad Finance?

Hey, I am currently an entering sophomore at Arizona State, and I am looking to transfer to a more prestigious school to do Finance. Can anyone tell me, with my stats, what are some schools that I should look to transfer to? Thanks. Also, I am thinking of doing I-banking, so schools that I-banks recruit at would be very helpful. Thanks again. My stats:

3.9 cumulative GPA
1460 SAT (730/730)
National Merit Scholar
AP Scholar w/ Distinction
National Latin Exam 3 time gold medalist
2 sport varsity captain (2 years both sport)
Co-Founder and charter member of School of Global Studies club at ASU.
Founder and Editor of high school newspaper
Mock Trial
Tour Guide
AYSO Volunteer Soccer Referee (over 200 hours community service)
President of Latin Club in high school.

Also maybe divide those schools into categories of reaches, matches, and safeties?

Schools you should consider:
Stern
Wharton
Sloan

basically any other PRIVATE school with a great u-grad business program, but remember you'll have to complete the prereqs.

Schools you should probably stay away from:
Haas
McCombs
Ross

because they are state schools and it is extremely difficult to transfer externally OOS.

You're a strong applicant and will fare well in the admissions process at most ugrad b-schools. Good luck.

for undergrad finance, Wharton needs to be at the top of your list; MIT-Sloan is also excellent. Of course, both of those schools are a reach for everyone, and accept few transfers (since their retention rate is high). Also consider Cal-Haas, & UMich, both of which take a lot more tranasfers, but are tough for OOS kids. Or, NYU-Stern, but its not great for finaid.

Think I have a reasonable shot at being admitted to schools like these? Are there any safer schools with good undergrad business that I could apply to as well....

Stern is pretty safe for you, but if you wanna get safer, I'd say USC Marshall should do it. You're a very strong applicant so give yourself some credit.

U of Chicago is top-ranked.

Try IU-Kelley as a safety. You'd probably get some merit aid from them.

chicago doesn't have an undergrad business program, thank god.

Thanks all for your responses, right now I am considering applying to Wharton, Stern, Marshall (USC), and UVA... Think this sounds like a pretty good list? Any places you think should be added or dropped? Moreover, any opinion on whether I should apply this semester at some palces to try and get accepted mid-year, or post another semester (hopefully a 4.0) taking mostly math and econ classes to show a commitment to business, and apply 2nd semester for next year?

I was just looking at UVA's stuff and you have to choose one of the schools, mainly people go with arts and sciences I'm sure. The only major I saw under that list that looked remotely business to me was commerce. Does anyone know if I missed something, or what? LOL It's very possible I'm confused.

Yes, the mcintire school of commerce at UVA is their version of business. IT is, from the little I know, very highly regarded

'SC might throw some money at you, but they are stronger in accounting and tax (than finance).

Okay, good to know. The different name threw me off LOL I would imagine it's pretty good as their business school is highly regarded.
