<p>Have you looked into the Hampshire College/James Baldwin program? I can’t say that I know much about it and I am sure that the folks here on CC will be of more help when it comes to this institution. I should say that I first learned of this program last month when I took DD14 to a bio medical conference @ Harvard Medical School. College students were also in attendance and I started up a conversation with 2 AA young men who donned Hampshire College hoodies. One was from LA and the other from Harlem. They loved the school and had lots of good things to say about this particular program. It may be worth taking a look see. I hope this helps in some way. Connecticut College might also be another one… again, not sure if its what you are looking for but visit the site and see what you think.
