Are you forced to take the ACT when the school hosts it? Or can you take it when ever you want?

My whole state (I think, at least my district does, but I’m pretty sure it’s the whole state) has a test date because we used to have a bunch of different assessments that we had to take at certain points, but someone was like, hey, if we’re gonna pay for them to take tests, why not have them take one that can actually help them get into a college? So all the Juniors take it one day in March during the week.

^^ wow, I wish my school did that. Ours only forces us to take the state mandated test (CAPT) which does not go towards college at all.

Every junior in the state of Michigan (and I think there are other states, I just don’t know which ones) has to take the ACT. It’s one of our graduation requirements. Seniors come to school one day in March and everyone else has the day off. (Sophomores used to take the PLAN at the same time, but they changed that the year after I took it.)

^Im from MI and I’m pretty sure it’s juniors…

^Oh, duh! Yeah, it’s juniors. My bad :P

We can take it whenever
