Does anyone have any information about colleges that offer a similar/comparable program to NYU's Gallatin School of Individualized study? This would mean an interdisciplinary program in which the student works with an advisor to put together his/her own course of study and major. Any information on other schools that have this would be appreciated!

Hampshire college and Amherst college and that whole consortium has self-designed curriculum. Brown has concentrations, not majors, which is also self-design. Quite a few liberal arts schools do it, but I can’t remember them anymore. I think maybe Pitzer or some other Claremont Colleges…

Sorry I’m not too helpful. I think Sparknotes’ 283 Best Colleges book or whatever it’s called has the best info on that, but you have to really search through it to find out that sort of thing.

Hope it helps…
