Hey,
I was wondering if there were any schools similar to jhu in academics as well as size, rankings, and campus?
Im a junior in highschool in the college search process. And am going premed. Any and all feedback would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance!

Carnegie Mellon?

Vanderbilt, CMU, Wash U, Emory, Duke, Northwestern, Rochester, Tufts, UPenn, Cornell, Uchicago, Wm&Mary, Georgetown, Case Western, are some that come to mind. There may be some howls and disagreements, and they will be absolutely correct as each school has its unique attributes.

I was looking into cmu as well and was wondering if graduating pre med would still look good from a school known more for its engineering program?
Thanks again

Washington University in St. Louis is another really good school that usually prefers its own undergrads for entrance to their medical school.
Keep in mind, pre-med is not a major, it’s a track. You can study virtually anything and as long as you’re an excellent student, you can go to medical school. Just make sure you consult with your advisor and make sure they get you into any classes you need for medical school prep. Best of luck!

I second Washington University. Great school and great med school.
