Schools on the rise

Sparkeye, I just got off the phone with Gee.

He’s off to Michigan and thinks you should be president.

There’s just one thing.

We’re afraid that with all your hard work, Ohio might rise too fast and accidentally break the top 20.

:)

In my opinion, Northeastern, Umiami, Rochester, and Vanderbilt are all on the rise.

Ohio State, Nevada(LV and Reno), Rutgers, UMiami, University of Southern California, Pitt, East Carolina

UChicago: 40% acceptance rate in 2007, 8.8% acceptance rate in 2013. We will never see a fall this drastic again.

Wow…I feel like such an idiot right now. I had always thought that the University of Miami was a public school. I had never really looked at schools down in Florida/Georgia line but I still feel ignorant. Lol gotta shake it off.

@Ibouchard:

It was less than a year ago that I learned UMiami is a private school. Miami just doesn’t seem to have a private school feel, probably because of its size and sports culture.

Thank you very much for the shameless suggestion “JuniorMint,” but I don’t believe I am qualified as a potential candidate for at least another decade or two based on school’s Presidential Selection Criteria. Nonetheless, I would certainly be grateful if someone would recognize my years of services as the past student organization leader at The Ohio State University, as well as contribution for the prospective students here on CC for my beloved alma mater by nominating me for the Alumni Award in the future. Go Bucks!! :p

"Sparkeye, I just got off the phone with Gee.

I guess the Pure Michigan campaign is working just fine. We would welcome Gee to visit Michigan and spend some money. He is very good at it!

How do I do this? You really are quite dedicated.

Ohio State Alumni Awards

<a href=“Alumni Association - The Ohio State University | Ohio State Alumni Association”>Alumni Association - The Ohio State University | Ohio State Alumni Association;

And here is my Alumni ID#00806033, which contains all my information and should still be on file at our Alumni Association.

However, I guess it’s kind of late for this year’s nomination based on the official website provided?! Anyway, thank you very much for the thought, “JuniorMint,” I really appreciate it!! Above all, sorry for the late response! I’ve been BUSY planning my own engagement with this wonderful girl in 3 months, and the wedding banquet next year!! :p

Congrats Sparkeye7 on your upcoming nuptials! You are one of me favorite posters, even though I tease you mercilessly. Btw, is she a Spartan girl?

Congratulations, Sparkeye! I always thought you and rjkof would be the perfect couple, but I’m glad that you have moved on.

So when can I nominate you for next year?

UVA is overrated…

Better overrated than underrated…

cough Michigan.

If you say so. choke UVA

UGA has also made some good strides in the last several years.

It’s ok. Thanks for the thought, JuniorMint! :)

Average ACT Score (Middle 50%)

Harvard University 32-35
Yale University 31-35
Princeton University 31-35
Columbia University 32-35
U. of Pennsylvania 30-34
Dartmouth College 30-34
Cornell University 30-33
Brown University 29-34

2013 Ohio State Honors 31-35

Go Bucks!! :D

^ For admitted or enrolled? My guess is admitted.

@UCBChemEGrad,

^^ I couldn’t find the original news article which stated 50% ACT for 2013 Honors Class 31-35 with an average of ACT 32.5. The actual class enrollment numbers will probably have to wait until Aug. Nonetheless, someone did attend the Honors Day event on tOSU campus and posted the following stats two months ago on Ohio State board. Hope this help.

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/ohio-state-university-columbus/1487750-back-osu-honors-day-same-facts.html?highlight=act+32+4</a></p>

Go Bucks! :)

Not a big deal Sparkeye IMO. Honors students at all decent universities have higher ACT scores. Nothing new or unsual at tOSU. Well, maybe having decent numbers of students with higher ACT scores are still kind of new at Ohio State. It’s nothing new for other higher ranked schools. When tOSU gets those kind of numbers for all admitted students, not just for the honors program, then I’ll be impressed.
