I am a rising senior from the West Coast from a good public high school with solid grades. I have been certain my entire life that I want to attend a school on the East Coast. I love Yale and Columbia, but I'm concerned that something may happen this year that will cause me to want to be closer to home. I'd like a medium-sized, non-religious, academically challenging school in or near a city that has old buildings, trees, and a lot of theater on campus. Does anyone have any ideas?

Whitman College in Walla Walla, Washington: [Whitman College](http://www.whitman.edu)

Have you looked at the Claremont Colleges?

^Definitely the Claremont colleges if you have the stats.

I’ll 3rd the 5C’s. Each of them individually might be a little small for your taste, but put them all together, and you have that medium sized campus you asked for.

I checked them out and I think Pomona is the one that fits me the best. Thank you all so much for your help!
