Schools strong in the Social Sciences!?

Hello everyone, my name is Paul and im trying to help my girlfriend find a good school for herself.

She doesnt want to go any farther north than MA, probably no farther South than NC and no farther West than the fringe of pennsylvania

Please recommend schools that are strong in the Social Sciences..she has been exploring majors and her mom has been pressuring her to choose a school by strength of intended major. She has gone through psychology, poli sci, social work, and public policy in the span of about 8 months so it would be unwise, i think, to choose a school by major at this point since she is 10 months or so away from actually picking a school, but all her thoughts thus far fall under the net of social sciences. Any input is very much appreciated.

there it is... again, please recommend schools that are strong in the social sciences

what type of social sciences…
this is a very broad field and different schools will have different compartmentalized strengths.

Which social science field? (Anthropology, Political Science, Sociology, Psychology, Economics)

Out of curiosity how can someone have a 3.6 unweighted and 4.6 weighted? Just curious.

I think you’ll find dozens, if not hundreds, of colleges in the NE region you specified that are strong in one social science field or another that would also fit your GF’s stats. Could you give some other suggestions to narrow down the field a bit, such as student body size, campus setting, etc.?

Some schools have a weighted grading scale so that an A is equivalent to a 5.0, B to a 4.0, C to a 3.0 and so on.

Alright thanks for the clarification because I have 3.78 unweighted and a 4.3 weighted.
