Pomona is still an option. Swarthmore and Pomona have an exchange program to do a semester at the other school. It strikes me as an excellent way for students to get a taste of the same school in the "other coast" flavor.

Go to Pomona for a spring semester and miss a Philly winter! Kind of like an extended spring break....

"I can tell she's a Swattie because she logged on to my Netflix list before she come home and loaded up with Indian cinema films. Sheesh! What happened to Bruce Williis or Sandra Bullock explosion movies?"

ID, my son will not go near an Indian movie with a 10-foot pole. Probably has to do with being an East Indian Swarthmorean (some don't like the term Swattie) and having watched that for ages with his grandma at home.

Something tells me that the foreign language films released in the US tend to be the cream of the crop. I haven't watched the Bollywood movies, but the music I heard on the soundtrack was terrific -- Indian techno.

I'm definitely not the foreign-film expert in the house, but I did sit through "Farewell My Concubine" twice which is no small feat.
