i have high sats scores and do a lot of extracurriculars but i unfortunately had a low gpa from freshman to sophomore year.
Upward trends are the new cool thing… Also look up college for your specific grade point. If you look at the site college data sets and look up college I doubt many would give you what your looking for. But a lot of liberal arts colleges do view you more holistically. Look up “colleges that change lives” as a start. Giving more of what your grade point /stats are would be more helpful for people attempted to help also.
It depends.
- Each college is different in their tolerance and goals.
- Exactly how low is the GPA? My son just started at one of the UNSWR T3 and his GPA was several .1s below their average GPA, but still (barely) an A.
- Exactly how high are is the SAT? Over 1550 gives you a little breathing room.
- "A lot" of ECs isn't as helpful to you as the quality of those ECs and what you can show you learned from them.
Post more details - home state, unweighted GPA, budget, what you might want to study - you will have plenty of options.
