In case my son doesn't get in to Muhlenberg, can you name schools that compare closely--size, broad curriculum, jewish population, geography not that important. thank you

Kansas or Western Michigan are popular safety schools for Jewish students

If it is his top choice, make sure he applies early decision, and visits and interviews. Muhlenberg takes more students ED than most schools. They really want students that really want to be there.

Goucher College and Drew University might have some of what you are looking for. Jewish population at Goucher is comparable to Muhlenberg. Percentage of Jewish students at Drew is just under 10% but it has an active Hillel chapter.

where/what is Muhlenberg?

Muhlenberg is a liberal arts college in Allentown, PA, about an hour north of Philadelphia: [Muhlenberg College](http://www.muhlenberg.edu/)

Goucher and Drew are excellent suggestions
Possibly Franklin & Marshall; Dickinson & Albright in PA; Washington College and McDaniel in MD; Manhattanville in NY
